TIMING FOR INTENSITY
Training protocol should outline rest time between sets or intervals. Make sure you're watching that closely as it will impact intensity.

If you increase the weight or reps of a lift but lengthen the rest periods, it might not be an increase of intensity. Similarly, if you keep the same weight/rep scheme but decrease rest time, you are increasing the intensity. As with most things, don't overlook the details, they can be the difference makers!
