POWER OF 250

250 is a number that can mean a lot of different values. It could be the oven temperature for baking a cake, but for a metalworker, it could be the ideal temperature for shaping steel. When it comes to your fitness and nutrition, it's a huge impact.

Calories

Being off 250 calories each day will add up to a pound of body fat every 2 weeks. This is either a pound that you are gaining, maintaining or not losing.

While 250 sounds like a significant amount, it's surprisingly easy to be off that much. If not measuring out portions accurately (esp fats) this alone can easily chew up that margin (pun intended.

Eating out is another big impact factor here as portions usually aren't accurate. Plus packaged food only needs to be within 80% of stated nutrition, so a 1,000 calorie meal could be off that amount alone.

Weighing food

Finally a big creeper is alcohol. It's not hard to get 250 calories (esp if you like mixed drinks or heavy calorie beers).

If you're struggling to see the progress you want to, examine the above and see if one of them is a 250 area you can double down to make an impact on your progress.
