VISION

Visualization is a powerful thing. Imagining what we want to accomplish helps convince our brains that we are able to achieve a specific feat. Daydreaming about a vacation, imagining crossing a finish line, holding up the prize.

These are all powerful, but let’s talk about visualizing the future you. Specifically, let’s use this technique to talk about fitness.

man looking through glasses

Imagine you have achieved the ultimate look you are seeking. Seeing the health, physique, energy, strength and more that version of yourself has. Got that in your head?

Now, in that same mindset, think about what that future version of yourself is doing on a daily basis. What is the routine, habits and actions? Who are they surrounding themself with? How do they go through their day, their workout, their daily nutrition. Once you visualize those activities of what your future self is doing, then the next step is super easy, but oh so hard, do those things now.

vision through ball

At the highest level, an olympic athlete has a team of people, a 24/7 disciplined routine and a tremendous level of focus. If your visualization of yourself is at a similar level, then so should the actions be to take you there.

Provide yourself clarity; visualize not just where you want to be, but what that version of yourself is doing daily and do it now.
