WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING

The other day my wife and I were at the grocery store and walked down the snack isle. I looked at all the impressive different types of candy and sweets. What caught my eye was some of the wording on the labels.

“Low fat, zero sugar, plant based” jumped out on the labels among others. It blew me away as in my mind, these descriptions were meant to distract from the other big words should be: “loaded with sugar, full of fat, calorie dense”.

When looking at food labels, the best label to look at is the nutrition label. This tells you the real picture on what is going on, versus the catchy marketing on the front.

While it's kinda obvious in the candy isle, this also applies in all the other food categories as well.

As with all things, buyer beware and look past the advertising to get the real picture below.
